Chateau Chantal Proprietor’s Reserve Pinot Gris

A pure delight for the palette. Big and balanced. Crisp and clean. Very fruit forward while remaining smooth and dry. Made in the French style with oak, which for this aficionado gives it a complexity that makes my tongue dance and leaves you asking for “more please”.  It’s a party for your senses from beginning to end, with a finish that isn’t quickly over, but lingers, presently reminding you this is made in Michigan and seems to carry all the beauty of the land it was grown on.

Brys Estate 2010 Artisan Chardonnay

Is it possible to fall in love with a wine? If so, I just did. Winemaker Coenraad Stassen said “I wanted to see what could be done with this grape from this land.” The result is this BIG, complex and layered Chardonnay that’s a wonderful chewy mouthful. What does it pair well with? Brys Estate will say, rich poultry dishes, creamy soups, seafood and salads. I say… friends, a deck, a couch, the beach or a fireplace. It’s a limited production and a splurge, but well, well worth every sip. Cheers!
