Fling by Silver Leaf Vineyard & Winery

Have a Fling. It’s a sassy Rosé with a super sassy label, ok, I’m partial, the label features my Goddess of Wine Artwork, I’m very honored. The wine is fantastic and would be Fling worthy even without the label! Fling is a very well balanced semi-sweet Rosé. Being one who leans towards a more dry wine, I was very pleased with Fling’s structure. It is well balanced and complex enough to carry it’s sweet in a way that isn’t about the sugars but about a really great wine. This is the wine I’ll be serving with my Thanksgiving turkey, but until then I’ll be pouring it with spicy foods, and per the vineyards recommendation cheeses, salads and yummy portabella.

Cheers!

Chateau Chantal Proprietor’s Reserve Pinot Gris

A pure delight for the palette. Big and balanced. Crisp and clean. Very fruit forward while remaining smooth and dry. Made in the French style with oak, which for this aficionado gives it a complexity that makes my tongue dance and leaves you asking for “more please”.  It’s a party for your senses from beginning to end, with a finish that isn’t quickly over, but lingers, presently reminding you this is made in Michigan and seems to carry all the beauty of the land it was grown on.
